I ordered this vest and it arrived today. There are a few things I wanted to pass on about it.
First, the back has an adjustable strap so nearly any size waist / chest can wear it closed like this guy:

Or open like the Topps card guy. This is welcoming news for a plus-sized person like myself who usually wears 5xl shirts.

Next, the grenade pouches would need to be filled to look good. And the pouches aren't really pouches at all, but are more like sleeves with an open bottom. So you'll need to come up with 20 tubes that fit in there pretty tight to make it look right.

Slight warning for anyone who buys the french grenade pouches from Keepshooting. I've bought a lot of military surplus for various costumes in the past but these things stink worse than anything I've ever purchased. When it came in, I could smell it when I opened the front door to get the package off the porch. It's so bad I have to keep it outside, box and all. Very, very strong decay / mildew / turtle wax smell.

Far out! Cant belive I didnt find this earlier. was looking at the Rebel legion one.
Picked 2 French grenade pouches, and they had 2 of the shoretrooper grenade pouches(only grabed one of them) at the local surplus store, nothing else though

On a side note I dont think the Endor hat and the R1 hat are the same. . .Similar but not the same.

Next bit of info some of the Rebels wear these with the gorka top.
Majority of those with the Gorka tops are wearing the Helikon SFU pants; not the Gorka pants. (Grabed from Rebel Legion)

I had obviously checked ebay. Slim pickings over there. Very few listings (only 1 listed as M69, 2 or 3 more as Vietnam Flak Vest), not the size I need and they seem a bit pricey ($150-$200).
I'll check out the alternatives.

M69 Flak Vest. The best price I could find from a reliable, US based retailer. They only carry size small and I've heard some of these ship with authentic armor plates (not that they're needed for anything).

Tru-Spec BDU pants. The "close enough" alternative for a big guy like me, with Prime shipping. They sent the wrong color, though, so they might mess up your order too.

Propper and TRUSpec have pants that are similar to the Helikons. They have larger sizes for us big boys, so check them out! The Khakis can be dyed with Dark brown to closer match some of the on screen trousers.

I read somewhere that it could be a Soviet era AK47 ammo bag but I don't think anyone has pinged it for certain.

I'm looking for info on that bag and some of these jackets. There are some that appear to be button up BDU tops, some pullover jackets and the brown or tan jackets with stripes on the sleeves.

It's getting so close to release and some of this stuff is taking so long to arrive through the mail I'm about to resort to a bunch of "close enough" cheapo gear.

Taking a closer look at the vest, it's not an M69.

The flap is on the right side instead of the left, also a small tab above it.
There appears to be no flap on the right pocket.
Not sure if there is a left pocket behind the dual mag pouch.
Webbing (I'm guessing for the side adjustments) start at the front zipper.
Greeblie window pocket left side.

Looks like it's in a few colors (tan, green, brown?)

It could be an m55 they have upper pockets or they might have modified it but m69 just has to flap pockets one each side . I have one of each.

I finished my Caps so far.

I made a little run within the Rebel Legion Forum

So far i dont have capacity avaiable to sew any further to the Premiere

The pattern is based on a screen-used Hoth cap and reference pictures from all Trailers (the Gilette Commercial helped the most.)

I was poking around in the RL thread and someone mentioned that the "Hoth" hat had buckles on both sides.

One of the pictures used as reference from the Gillette ad was flipped (look at the accessories).
I noticed the scene is reversed while looking at the vest's.

Also in a Yavin Hanger scene from one of the new trailers (badges on the right instead of left)

Triple check your references before preceding, I've made that mistake a few times myself.
