Sherlock Holmes (Granada/Brett)

Now, now a prop per se, but I am currently working on this pair of 1/6th scale figures (Hardwicke and Brett):

The headsculpts are one-off's by a talented local artist. I'm excited about completing the clothing and display.

Re: Sherlock Holmes (Granada/Brett) props

Not quite finished, but almost. Apologies for the terribly bad lighting, the ONLY way to take good photos of scale figures like this is in dull natural light, which can't be found in Whitley bay at 11pm on a Tuesday night.

Re: Sherlock Holmes (Granada/Brett) props

RobbyR,Brett's intention was to film every story in the canon - but his heart problems caught up with him before every episode was complete. Sad but it's amazing that Brett and crew amanged to bring to life so much of Conan Doyle's works, so beautifully.
Project "Granada" (primary) custom 1/6 scale figures 80% complete. Watson currently without cap or shoes. Lots of 'futzing' and fine tuning to do, still.

Considering making Eric Porter as Moriarty and Rosalie Williams as Mrs Hudson next. It might possibly be the worlds first 1/6 incarnations of those characters?

Bloody amazing!

Just out of (possibly inappropriate) curiosity, what did it cost you to make these amazing figures?

Re: Sherlock Holmes (Granada/Brett) props

Hi Jacco

I haven't actually tallied it up, but my guestimate is £120 in parts and materials per figure, not counting labour.

(y)love:D:$

I've never seen such detail in a miniature.

The new sculpt is a definite improvement!! He is the ONLY Sherlock Holmes! Those episodes came right off the page and his performance was the best ever. They were so true to the original stories... we don't do that anymore. Now Sherlock Holmes is an American action star, or a modern day High Functioning Sociopath. Anyway the new sculpt is awesome. Really great project.
