Superman American Alien: Aviator Superman

Hello, long time reader, first time poster, here! For my first proper cosplay I couldn't decide whether to do something obscure, or something more well-known, so I decided to do something that was a mixture of both. Now, I absolutely adore the comic "Superman: American Alien," by Max Landis, and especially love the aviator-style costume that Clark wears during issue five of the series. What is different about this costume as opposed to other Superman costumes is that it is armored. Landis' Superman is different than others because he is not nearly as powerful, or as godly. If he gets shot, it will hurt, but not wound him, hence the armor. Here are all the reference photos that I've gathered so far, in case anyone else is interested in building their own costume.
