Things to note:Suit is most definitely screen printed spandex, there's no faceshell in the pics, most likely because he just changed into the suit or just put the mask on in the scene they are filming

I'm suspecting that the "practical costume" in these pics is just a placeholder/reference for a CGI suit that'll be overlaid in the final version. Let's be honest, here--the suit "as is" looks cheap and ill-fitting compared to what we saw onscreen in Civil War, and it seems unlikely they'd go backwards in quality just to appease the tiny minority of people who'd prefer a cosplay-ish costume that "looks like something Peter Parker would actually make".

Personally, I'm disappointed that the overall design wasn't a one-off for Civil War, giving way to a suit closer to TASM2 for the first standalone film of the franchise, but I suppose that's a different topic for another thread. Cheers.

The only thing "ill fitting" I see is the mask, and that might only be for this scene, which presumably requires it be taken off.
From my understanding, they intended there to be a practical suit in Civil War, but it was made for the stunt man and did not fit Holland very well, hence the heavy CGI in the final film
And imho you'll be hard pressed to find a cosplayer with that level of professional detail in the suit, as it looks to have a textured (perhaps screen printed, such as the Captain America/Daredeveil suits?) fabric

Yes, the fabric is screen printed, I've got a friend who did textile fabrication on the suit, the suit is most definitely made from screen printed spandex, and the black parts of the suit are some type of rubber, probably urethane. and it really depends on what kinda budget you have, a full screen printed suit would cost about $400-$600, then there would be the black rubber parts, web shooters, faceshell and lenses (yes, i know he isn't wearing one in the pics but that is probably because he takes the mask of or puts it on in the scene they are filming) the final price may end up being $1000, but that could be way off.

It seems that the front spider is raised as well! Too bad you can't see the webbing good enough, but it looks like it's not subscript like it was in the first image of the suit from Civil War.

That sounds like kiyominai right?

Do we have any idea what kind of spandex they used? Or where to get some? I'm not talking about the screen printed texture.

His suit is seemingly very skin tight / thin (like Milliskin?) but every spandex suit I've made from the stuff that Joann's carries (not the "cosplay line" fabric) it just doesn't fit as tightly.

Here is my TASM2 suit with Joann's spandex. It just isn't as tight as Holland's.

Capture2.PNG I've 3d modeled both spiders, not happy with the legs on the back spider so i will be editing or re-doing it, i am happy with the front spider, it is domed/bubbled, what ever terminology you prefer :lol these will be free 3d print files, i will do the lenses as well

Hey. I want help with my design. Is there anything I can do for this thread or the Spider-People in general that would make help in mine worthwhile. I can provide my Vectors for the logos to help with the 3D, more detailed pictures of my rendition of the pattern or I could Discuss all the differences between costumes I've noticed so i can get some extra information. I'm curious about the repeats in the suit and I'm considering giving away my file for free (probably temporarily to a select few in this hypothetical universe) so I can get some feedback on the pattern and details.

i´m wondering about the material, the mask looks allways like it´s flocked or something like that. in this selfie and also in the movie civil war, as spipdey is on the ground and pull off his mask. What do you think?
