    Very cool !

I love your uses of different materials and the back story to set up this build.....

I'm always learning little tricks every time I watch.

This is going to be an epic build !

Looks fantastic so far. When I first saw the Plexiglas I thought you'd decided to make a ghost starship...

    Thank you,

The busiest month has been over and I was back to build in a couple of days ago.

    Here are some progress.
I've started to built the hull shell with 0.5 mm aluminum.

Hammering the sheet aluminum on a small anvil to get the shape.

One of the good things about using the aluminum sheet is you can scribe the panel line on a flat surface at the first place.
And then bend it or shape it.

    And fitted on the structure.

    [/URL]

For the second and the third deck.

I've just used some tiny rivet to hold the shell for now.
When every parts are fitted and trimmed. I put them out again and paint it.

Still long way to go but thanks for your support.

Thank you very much, my friends.

Jim san, looks like I will have another chance to use your parts again.

Tom san, it is nice to start my day with your comment.

Alex san, how do you like the round shape of my model this time?
It may look like a little classic.

Mcusaneli san, thank you for dropping by.

    All the best,

It looks great. I really love the design. It looks like it would fit well beside the Sulaco from Aliens or any of the Earth ships from the Halo games. It's a style I've always enjoyed.

I imagine it being colored pale gray with wide blue squadron stripes, or not. Heck, it might look pretty good as natural aluminum!

I don't think it works as a realistic space ship design, but from a fiction/design perspective, it's fantastic. I look forward to seeing how it develops.

Thanks for the comment Alex san.
As you said, I have been interested in the HALO world and its ships influenced me a lot.
I thought the aluminum could take an advantage of material for these design.

Will you be painting this? It might be nice to leave it natural since the aluminum looks so beautiful.

Yeah, I often think so too.
It is very atractive idea indeed.
I will try to use only this material as long as I could.
And try not to use any plastics so that I can leave it without painting.
Or I can use some pale clear black or navy paint.

    Katsu-san,

Now you are modeling in metal, is there anything you can't do Katsu-san.

This is beyond epic my friend.

No subject to daunting , no material to difficult to use, you sir are a modeling master

    Brilliant

Katsu-san, you surprise us with your skills! A couple questions -- how do you get all the parts to fit together so nicely? Do you work from completed blueprints with all the parts dimensioned? Everything looks incredible -- from the internal structure, parts and those beautiful aluminum panels.

    Thank you, Gag-san.

This material is very handy for model building.
I want you to try this if you have any appropliate chance.

Hi! crackerjazz san, Thanks for asking.

As usual, I haven't drew any blueprints. Just some rough sketches only.
For the structure, I used 3mm to 4mm thick acrylic plates for the good strength.
I've just cut it to the appropliate shape with a circle saw with reffering to my sketches and mock up..

In fact, it's just simple. I used some thin 0.5 mm cardboards to make a pattern before I cut the actual aluminum plates. I fit the rough cut of those cardboard to the structure and trimmed it with a scissors until it fit there perfectly. Then I put the cardboard paper patterns on a aluminum sheet, trace it and cut it precisely with a scissors or an knife. No room for error in a good way. Just like a making a tailored suits.

Aluminum is very flexible material. You can heat up the aluminum plates and cool it down slowly to let it have more flexibility. You can make a complicated curve by a simple hammering.

Nice work sir ! Very interesting design and material choice. I wouldn't expect anything less from you though. The aluminum looks pretty cool and the rounded edges combined with the scribed lines really works well together.

    I'll be watching

Thank you very much for your comment, sir.
I really appreciate the strong back up for this project.

    Here are some updates.

Making a pattern with a thick paper.

This corner piece was so difficult. XD

    Thanks for watching,
