Bandai 1/72 PG Millennium Falcon (also the Revell Germany rebox)

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

I found twitter posts of someone who has built mounting points at the tips of the mandibles, together with an attachment that resembles the one used for the filming.

That's awesome! Making an authentic 5-footer mounting point is what I tried to do too -- they just did it way better than me!

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

Calling mine complete today. Done just in time for the Solo movie so I can look next at doing Lando's Falcon from thst movie.

This was a labor of love and a bit of a childhood dream come true.

Pictures taken with my phone camera outside on an overcast day. I'll plan on taking more pictures with Ms Toad's good camera later this week.

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

Not that I'm aware of...but that doesn't mean much... getting info out of Bandai is next to impossible as far as actually contacting them with questions. Lots of other folks here that know more than I do. perhaps some else here will chime in with something :confused
Is there a Bandai 1/72 PG Solo movie falcon in the works? [emoji102]

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

Long-time lurker, here. Your Falcons are all wonderful and a true inspiration!

Anyways, I saw Solo last night. I don't think it's much of a spoiler, so I hope this is ok to say: I think they handle the landing gear issue perfectly, for those of us that it was really bothering-- me included. It's not verbally explained, but I don't think anyone will have an issue with continuity after seeing the movie.

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

I would imagine 99% of people in general audiences would have no idea the lander gear boxes were ever different.

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

No, most people probably wouldn't notice anything about the landing gears. I went in expecting them to ruin the continuity, but they paid a lot of attention to the Falcon. I was fully prepared to make something up in my head about why they were removed before A New Hope, but they made sure that it was explained to those who went in wondering about it.

Re: Bandai 1/72 Millennium Falcon

ok, well questions answered...saw it last night, forward left and right gear appeared to be there, then got torn off. So handy Han and Chewy replaced them while at Echo base. Works for me. (y)thumbsup on the movie
