Hi gt350pony66 - yeah I see you popping up whenever the MPC Falcon gets mentioned, and I know there are other builders around here on RFP.
Why don't we open a new thread to share experiences and progress updates with each other, or just simply to have a good time?
Or is there one discussion thread available already which I am not aware of?

cool man, I'm up for it. I don't have an MPC on the table at the moment, but I think I've gathered quite a bit of info on them. like I say, I've done 5, the last being the best one, and I've got 6 or 7 more in the closet...amongst a bunch of other stuff. i'll click the link and sub up. Ah, now I understand...our friend davidvardyszab in Hungary wanted those shots...I was so confused :wacko, no matter, he's got them now. I'm always happy to see other folks work though, solicited or not LOL :thumbsup

Yeah! me too! I won't be starting mine for a while yet, hoping to pick up more tips here before that. Also waiting on someone to come out with a good PE set

I wonder if anyone knows what this black rectangle is:
It exists from the early promotion photos, but is absent from the kits decals.
Looking at close-ups, it looks similar to traces where something had fallen-off, exposing the black primer.
There happens to be one nearby, which is a trace of a little panel.
Even if that is the case, it is probable that the ANH was filmed without the something.
I wasn't quite sure what to do, so I just stuck a black decal.
Also, the red decal there seems to be missing from the kit, so I made it out of the Bandai logo in the decal sheet.
It might be decal 230, but it doesn't seem to be indicated in the instructions.
I have finished weathering about 2/3 of the upper hull.
