My cheapo Kylo Ren Lighsaber repaint

I was at WalMart the other day and picked this up, thinking it might look good repainted. So I took out the red blades, added some styrene to cover the two holes in the pommel and started repainting it. I was happy with how it turned out, pretty nice for a $10 toy.

Looks pretty damn good! What is the base color, a dark grey? If you addressed the seam lines I'd be hard pressed to fault it at all.

Thanks guys. I will probably do another now, and fix the seam lines and all. I just wanted to do one up quickly to see how it'd look.

Not easily, those things are IN there! I cut them down to about 1" long fully extended on my bandsaw, then used a box cutter to slice what I could, then used some neednose pliers and twisted them (rolling it tighter, and pulling). You kind of have to just man handle them out, but well worth the effort in the end.

I used the Dust N Rust from Micromark. Super easy.
