Unfortunately that was only the US take. Overseas it's doing rather well ($125 million in China alone). So, we'll probably have to put up with this same type of production for some time.
hey you no i dont want to wish any bad on any movie or person. glad its picking up over there. i think bay said this was his last film, if they do decide to make another maybe this new director will move it in a different direction?
i think I'm going to wait for this to come out on bluray. i haven't been to the movies since... i saw Sully opening weekend so thats a long time ago.

This came out a year before Bay's first Transformers movie, and still looks better than what we've seen on the big screen IMO:

I love how everyone switched sides constantly and how humans release an army for Megatron . sooooo. They will have someone to fight at the end of the movie ? I guess ?

I hope this finally is the kill shot for this franchise. Maybe someday, long from now a decent reboot with the 80's recognizable Transformers with a good story will come about. I doubt it, but the 80's kid in me still dreams about it.

I didn't pick it apart and both my wife and I enjoyed it . Maybe I'm not so much inline with most of you. I didn't watch cartoons or read comic books as a kid but just enjoyed the battles was a little mixed on the humans picking side view but I'm no movie critic .... I just watch and see it I like...

I havnt paid to see it, but have read through all the spoilers online. How cringey was the scene when they are using a Chinese website to look for car porn? I have read the Chinese overly blatant product scenes are a laughing stock in China.
