UPDATE!!!
I sewed together some non slip mats into a pair of sleeves and painted them up to look like rusty metal. A fundamental detail I ignored when I built the armour.
I also drew a quick picture of a silver knight, because why not, then tried on sunglasses with the helmet.
I then fixed everything and touched up the paint job then attended Supanova Gold Coast 2017. Once again the suit suffered no real damage, even after attending a parade under the sun.
Good times were had, even made it on the area's local news.
