Civil war red notebook

I don't know, that seems a bit too small.

Looks good and not a bad price. Though I think it's easy enough to get a similar/better result by buying a new journal and wearing it down yourself.

Were they not:

  1. Desire
  2. Rusted
  3. Seventeen
  4. Dawn
  5. Stove
  6. Nine
  7. Kind-hearted
  8. Homecoming
  9. One
  10. Freight car

Not in the American release. Perhaps internationally there were slightly different translations, just like how Cap's "List" in TWS has slightly different items on it depending on country.

Also, I've been working on a replica prototype of this journal. If I can get some of the minor things worked out with it, I'll be investing in better materials (Like real leather) to make it for real.

Are you going to sell some here?

I could probably be convinced to do a small run if I can get the pricing to make sense. (For my personal journal, I'm looking at around $85-100 in costs to give you a sense of what it will cost to make one for myself, and there are only slight cost savings by making more)

Ordering materials in small quantities doesn't give you a lot of wiggle room. That's why I'm doing a prototype with "on-hand" materials before moving on... I don't want to waste time and money using a side of leather until I know it's going to be accurate.

But so far I've got all of the details figured out and have found sources for all the material, even ordered a few tools. So once I have that, doing a run is just a matter of buying in slightly larger quantities.

I'll probably finish the prototype this weekend when I have some free time. I'll post here when I do.

I agree with you, although the American release sounds a lot cooler than "stove" and "desire".

Are you planning to do a project run on RPF once completed?

I'll probably do a short run just to use up the excess materials I'll have on hand. Beyond that, I don't know. (It won't be cheap though to do it in proper materials)

I'll post an interest thread in the JY once I have my prototype.

My quick and dirty version.
Cheap staples composition book that is about the right size.
black, red, nickel paint I had lying around.
Not perfect but close enough for 2.99

Now to try to add some Russian.

if anyone is interested I found this notebook in red at Walmart. for 3.99
7.5 x 9.5 'ish.
200 lined pages
it has some sort of feaux leather over cardboard.
I weathered with acrylic blackwash, dry brushed some red and brown, and weather the page edges.
I used sanppaper and dropped it on the edges for a little extra weathering.
I cut the star out with an exacto ( my template was a tad large but I am fine with it.)
then I spay painted card stock with a mix if black, silver and gold, and taped it on t he inside.

I own this one and it is smaller than the on screen one (judging by eye) but the cover is printed to look worn etc. Works for me in my plainclothes Bucky.
