blues brothers animated series...

Bobs Burgers looks like such poorly animated crap that I never bothered with it. can't get past the ugly stylized designs.

"The Bento Box production... is aiming the series at young adults." Do young adults even know who the Blues Brothers are? I'm keeping an open mind, but...

Not holding out much hope, but we'll have to wait and see.

As long as they don't take away the smoking or standard humor in the name of it being a cartoon, I'm good.

Sadly this is going to be a sanitized version of it aimed at kids just like the video games they put out for the NES and gameboy back in the 90s. They couldn't even make Blues Brothers 2000 good and that had a lot more support, this is going to be rough. The sad thing is Bob's Burgers can be funny at times and it has a good cast (I mean they even did a spoof crossover with Archer) but I'm not feeling this one. It's like a Pg13 aliens movie, just not what it should be. Next thing you know they'll want to make a kid friendly Duke Nukem cartoon.
The only way I can assume anyone under 30 knows about this franchise is because they had good parents who made them watch stuff older than them. Which means about 3 percent of the population.

This reeks of Spaceballs: the Animated Series.

I love Bob's Burgers and Glove and Boots. Bento Box has some talented people. The question is if they are going to get what makes Blues Brothers tick.
But of course an animation-adaptation is going have its own style that is distinct from the original.
