Upgraded/Miniature style DeAg Falcon

And the upper cockpit tunnel!
Still haven't decided if I'm using the DeAg cockpit, of making one closer to the miniature :)
But before that, it's time to tackle the upper engine, the most complex area of the whole ship!

Mate here is my finished cockpit I modified from the 2 Deag cockpits. Was a major pain to do. The whole process is on the Australian build if your interested.

Hi Lee, anymore progress on your build?

I am thinking of going this route as well and put on as many original kit parts as I can. I was just wondering how you are removing the moulded on details from the Deag kit parts? Are you just dremelling (grinding) them off?

Also, what type of glue are you using to attach the original kit parts (styrene) to the Deago parts (ABS)?

Awesome build by the way!

Hey Lee, I also would love to see any progress you have made on your awesome build.

I am also going this direction with the kits I have collected, but I am curious what you are doing with the side walls. Most of the details are molded into the kits sidewalls and I can't figure out how it could be removed and still keep the walls intact, so I am considering making completely new side walls of my own. I would really like your ideas on the best way?

Looking forward to seeing more of your build!

That's great work man! I was only going to replace a few parts for fun, then I started to really notice how off the DeAgo parts are for the most part and now I'm pretty much doing what your doing haha. Thanks for taking and posting such great pics, it REALLY helps visualize how all these kit parts go together, it's helping me track them down as well since I can see the molded kit colors!!

Can't wait to see this when its done.

anyone got a landing light layout- position of the red and white landing light??
Thanks in advance:thumbsup

Jedioz , check out ' Marks build log ' pg 26 over on ModelSpace forum , re your question . Apologies Lee , if I've overstepped by answering that on your thread . Amazing work if you've the patience and resources . Can't help admiring from afar though :thumbsup

Considering it's lineage I'm always amazed how different in accuracy and detail the De Agostini Falcon is, to the Master Replicas Falcon...

After a two year pause, construction on my ‘modified’ DeAgostini Falcon is underway again. Spent the last few days finishing the rear deck. As expected it was a nightmare

. There’s 41 pieces left from the DeAg kit, and over 250 replacement/corrected. On to the next section!
