Scratchbuilt Millennium Falcon 1/72nd

Please, PLEASE don't give up on this build. I wish I had the skills to do something like this, but since I don't, it feels awesome to see your progress each time I hop into this thread. True craftsmanship and ingenuity going on here.

Keep up the great work. :thumbsup

I had a couple of free hours this evening to work on the Falcon, finishing off the aft starboard sidewall.

I used a leftover cast from my MPC upgrade kits, cutting away the bulk of the resin to leave only the thin facade portion- it was more time consuming than it sounds.
Because of the protruding screw heads fastening the wall, the piece is stepped about 0.7mm from the base surface which has resulted in an unintentional addition of depth. Quite subtle, but welcome.

Insert for the Mk.III docking ring is ready for moulding, the final casts will have stepped plugs to fit into the main ring whilst keeping it around 0.5mm raised to emulate the original Five Footer.
Not perfect, but not too bad either.
