The show your custom BLASTER thread!

This is the one Seth asked me to post around a month ago. I wanted to re-do the finish on the flash hider before I did, and that was achieved this week.

The full story on this one, along with progress pictures and an earlier version of the barrel/flash hider at the link below.

I recognize the words you just spoke as English, but I have no idea what you just said!

Someday! That sounds big and scary to me!

Right!?

I got the idea from somebody on a page back. It's a Binatone Light Gun-- Binatone being the UK version of an Atari 2600. It's the perfect base. I'm adding a Greedo Killer flash hider, various greeblies, a resin M38 scope, and a resin DL-44 ANh scope rail, flipped and stripped down.

Okay... this ended up being awesome if I do say so myself. You can see the before above.

Here it is with all the greeblies, scope, and bondo in place...

And then finished...

This came out better than I expected. I think I have the confidence now to actually do a real metal one now with the parts I've started to gather...

That really did turn out great! It looks like it was pulled out of the OT section of the Lucasfilm Archives. :thumbsup

Here's my first attempt at scratch building a blaster, for my Jawa project. It was built at the time using my son's Disneyland Pirates of the Caribbean blunderbuss toy. I weighted it down with some nuts and bolts, used some PVC pipe, and a bunch of other odds and ends.

So I decided to dive into an actual metal blaster and I didn't take before pics assuming I was going to mess it up cause it required tapping--- but I totally did it right ad it worked! Got some other junk to do-- but I just had to share that I didn't fail.

Maybe now I'll be brave enough to use my @ScottD metal grips on a saber build...
