Graflex 2.0 Sabers - Show your work / Talk Electronics

I like many have purchased the new Graflex 2.0 from Korbanth. I have read all through the RPF compiling information to make my build easier (this is my first).
I thought it would be nice and easy to make this a place where others can show off their builds and talk about what they used, where they got it. Share best practices and learn from others mistakes and achievements.

Here is my WIP part list -

Hilt - Graflex 2.0 - purchased from Korbanth here on the RPF

Helpful info -

- To disassemble the hilt you will need a T6 sized Torx key or bit (Available at any hardware store usually in a small precision tool set).

- Make sure you decide which saber version you want to make before you attach the grips.
The side with the wider spaced holes (6 holes) is for Empire Strikes Back (ESB) and The Force Awakens (TFA)
The opposite side (7 holes) is for A New Hope (ANH)

- To add the D Ring to the pommel you will use the supplied 2 longer screws. You will need a T8 sized Torx bit for these 2 screws.

hey mate are you able to link to the parts? as a noob i need to know where to get the stuff as im in australia we have nothing available here.

Cheers

I'm also getting ready to start working on mine. This is my first electronic saber build, so I'm taking my time on it. I got my blade and tip from TCSS and ordered the NB V3 sound module as well.

Right now, good luck getting any parts from TCCS. They've been out of stock for a LONG time, so we're all gonna have to wait for a bit to restock. Even Plector Labs' direct site is out of stock.

didnt they just restock the NB v3?? i thought i saw everyone on tcss forum going nuts over the restock>? maybe it was a old thread brought back to life

thanks for the info so far everything i need is out of stock and the aussie dollar is in the toilet at the moment so need to try and source some equivalents locally, has anyone tried the raspberry pi zero? not sure if it will fit but it looks pretty small.

Yea, I grabbed one of those sound boards almost as soon as they went up on the site. Should arrive on Friday.
The chassis and LED are next on my list to get.

I'm thinking about getting a blade plug for mine. How exactly do they work? I'm assuming it stays in using the blade retention screw?

Yeah the blade plug goes in just like the blade. It makes it look more finished when a blade is not attached. For this hilt you need a 7/8" diameter plug that is 1.5" long.

Thanks for starting this thread, AT!

I've ordered all these parts but the one huge challenge has been finding someone that sells. 7/8 heat sink. I hear that TCSS will have some soon. So I'm looking forward to that.
