I never heard of the show, but the Big Empty reminds me of Big M.T. in Fallout:New Vegas. Of course it's residents got mad because it was commonly mispronounced Big empty when in fact it was Big Mountain.

Could not find it at RedWolf, Evike, AirSplat or Amazon. I did see it in stock at WGC, but they're in Hong Kong. The gun is several years old, and was probably never very popular to begin with. Alternatively, you may be able to contact WE and get a list of their retailers in your country.

Conversely, you may purchase the Tokyo Marui version, and modify and repaint it.

The Expanse: Miller's Star Helix Pistol

In Episode 3, Miller (Thomas Jane) whips out a pistol, fires a few quick shots, and points it at a big, violent guy. I can't get any decent shots except this one, from the back end, but it appears to be nearly identical to Amos' pistol seen at the end of Episode 2.

The good news is that some of the weapons were on display at the previous SDCC. The bad news is that most of the pics I can find of them are quite poor. However, we have one good pic of a "Star Helix Pistol" on display, and it seems to confirm that Miller's pistol is likely a WE G33 Advance, most likely all black, partially repainted gray / cool gray.

So, your options for replicating this are pretty much the same: grab a black WE G33 Advance and repaint it & mod it, or do the same to the Tokyo Marui version.

You bet! I've ID'ed the MCRN Long Gun, and Pistol and the Star Helix Long Gun.

I'll post the Martian Long Gun tomorrow (Sunday).

For the others, I'd like to wait until we see them in the show and I can get some screencaps.

The CYMA P698+ might do as a cheap and cheerful alternative to the WE G26C pistol. It's currently in production and seems to be widely available.

Great work, Mike. At first glance Miller's holster appears to be a Price Western Model 405,likely for a fullsize Glock 17. I'm looking forward to info re the Martian handgun.
Incidentally, Episodes 1-4 are On Demand at present.

Martian Pistol

We get a very poor look at the Martian pistol in ep. 4. The SDCC display pics (and an educated guess on Reddit) let me ID it as a WE X Series IPSC version, with modifications. It's a knock-off of a Tokyo Marui pistol, the XDM-40, which seems to be a licensed replica of the real steel Springfield XDM-40. The WE IPSC version has the clunky metal mag well flare and a compensator, which are visible on the prop. Otherwise, you'll have to use either of the full length airsofts and add those parts, along with what appears to be a second phony barrel on top of the slide, and a small thingy attached to the accessory rail. I'm hoping to see some good shots of it in later episodes, because otherwise we have very poor refs for the top barrel mods.

Sorry, no idea. A few Google Image Searches later, and I don't see many accessories screwed to the slide itself. Not in that location. Probably not a smart idea in the real world. It may be an airsoft part, or combination of parts, or it may be made from scratch.

Also not sure if the 'thingies' slipped over the accessory rails on the pistols are real or made from scratch.

I did notice that some of the white graphics on the Glock pistols are re-used on the P&K spacesuits (on their wrist computer cases or whatever).

I have ID'ed what the SDCC display signs called the Star Helix Long Guns, but I don't think we've seen them used by Star Helix (yet). The Canterbury crew members carry one or two while investigating the Scopuli.

I did read the prequel short story "Drive" by 'James S. A. Corey.' It's not bad, and if that's how they write all the time, I can see why the books are popular.

Replicated some more of the logos & patches & whatnot, which I have uploaded to TeePublic for your shopping pleasure.

And managed to ID the flashlight on the P&K spacesuits, after a lot of fruitless searching.

Star Helix Long Gun

The crew of the Cant took at least one long gun with them when they inspected the Scopuli. The SDCC displays show a similar rifle and call it a Star Helix Long Gun.

These are modified airsoft rifles: the Umarex H&K SL9.
