Young Justice Kid Flash

Hi Any/All,

I've recently started getting into cosplay and have started prep for a YJ Kid Flash costume (from later in the show when the costume is updated with shoulder pads, etc.) I am almost ready to begin, however I have not had experience with making 'armour' in this case the shoulder pads, and was wondering if anybody knew of any good tutorials/techniques for making them, and what materials are good for a beginner, or if anyone has made them before. I have put two images of KF showing the shoulder pads underneath.

I'd say make them out of EVA foam. Pretty easy to shape using heat, fairly cheap to work with. Tons of tutorials on YouTube.
