Heath ledger wig progress

thought I would show how my wig is looking...
started with a cheap £25 synthetic wig of the bay,and after watching
a few youtube vids on customizing lace wigs here is what I have so far
the dye has coloured the front lace a bit but going to try and bleach it out..
I wanted a wig for cosplay use and for the head I am working on.

Going to colour up the hairline and work some light browns through it and maybe grease it up a little..

Its iDye POLY Kelly Green......takes to the synthetic wig great
use a stainless saucepan half fill with water bring to the boil
add enough powder to colour the water with a few teaspoons
of table salt... take care with splashing
it very intense and gets everywhere if your not careful ....
just keep the water just off the boil and dunk the wig in
stir the wig with a stainless spoon until you see the hair
has taken the dye ..only take a few minutes... then take the
pot to somewhere safe to rinse .. I took mine into the garden
to rinse with a garden hose until the water runs clear. just
be careful it will dye anything it hits....when the water is clear
just shake the excess water out without brushing and leave
to air dry....

No, he only cast five of this one with the toothy grin. I will be selling this one when I finish the wig but I have a lot of projects ahead of it.

So much depends on the finish work, hair, eyes, etc. I think I paid about $300 for the raw bust. Search for the original thread on here. "Fetter Ledger bust" ought to turn up something.

Oh forgot to ask ...how close to the hairline will you trim your lace?
was thinking of cutting about 10mm from the hair and blending it
in with miliput putty??

I plan to cut it slightly behind Ledger's hairline and then glue on loose hair to hide the edge. Which glue is the question. Some use super glue. I have always used Matte acrylic medium on smaller pieces. I will try that here, I think, but it may take super glue to hold synthetic hair securely.
