Those bullets are nice! Would love to have some... but laws are strange here, you can own as many gun replicas you like, even ones that look 100% real, but only really crappy looking replica ammunition is allowed :facepalm

This is what he's talking about: http://www.korsholm.dk/dk/klik-patroner.html

Obviously the wrong caliber, but now you know what they're called in Danish.

AND they're legal to own! This actually comes as a surprise for me... some years ago when I was importing my first blaster I had a long talk with a pretty grumpy guy from the Police's weapons department who told me that I should not try to import dummy bullets... so I automatically assumed they were forbidden.... Guess he ment inert ammunition :behave

Thanks guys :)

Thanks Joberg :) All that is missing now is the little box with the red light on top.... trying to decide how to go about it...

Very good pic of the Vid-Phone and all Anders:cool

Re: My Blade Runner collection (NEW SidKit build!)

A quick shot of the progress on the Sid... fixed the problem with the ridiculously uneven bluing, apparently the bluing paste just wasn't concentrated enough... the bluing liquid worked much better! Barrel will need re-bluing though. It's still not 100% even, but as this is going to be a weathered look I really don't care :cool Up next will be some drilling and tapping and fitting... got myself a table drill so I can do precision drilling :thumbsup

On a side note, I found these cool dummy rounds called "snap caps" that are used in real guns that allow you to dry fire without damaging the firing pin. These are red anodized aluminum with a brass spring cap in the end. They have a good weight and look like they would be deadly to a replicant.

That is what I used for my Offworld PKD. It took the .38 special rounds.

Re: My Blade Runner collection (NEW SidKit build!)

Still a WIP but getting there... as you can see this is a heavily weathered version :)

Re: My Blade Runner collection (NEW SidKit build!)

Anders, what do you use for the white-wash on your grips? Just polish residue? Acrylic? Looks great on all your builds.

Re: My Blade Runner collection (NEW SidKit build!)

Yes, that's just residue from the Brasso used to polish the grips :) Just apply a little bit more with a cotton stick after polishing and leave it to dry up... for other details I've used a pigment binder and a pigment called "Light Dust" from AK Interactive...

I just got this real, vintage buddha head and I LOVE it.... I don't think I'm ever going to find a more accurate one!!

Re: My Blade Runner collection (NEW super accurate buddha!)

We all have our grails... one of mine is a working Voight-Kampff machine... and today I came one tiny step closer! I did a test run of a small 2,5" screen which will go on the side of the machine... like these:

You can see a low res video of the test here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcSCNKPi0-Q

Up next is the big screen and recreation of the eye footage...

Re: My Blade Runner collection (Voight-Kampff screen test!)

Very nice. What kind of screen is that?

I put the eye footage together once using all the clips from the movie and a bit of creative looping/reversing to make it last longer.

Re: My Blade Runner collection (Voight-Kampff screen test!)

Thanks! The screen is similar - if not identical - to this one: https://www.adafruit.com/products/912

It's hooked up to a cheap media player from eBay like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Multi-F...742144?hash=item2a34e04fc0:g:8QEAAOSwZG9WjiwJ

Do you still have that eye footage? I'd sure be interested!
