Nautilus Kit

Is there an alternative to the parts MRHR-1 and MRHR-2?

It seems I don't have them, but I like to proceed. If I build on this part of the model will be hard to reach.
Shall I scratch build them?

I take it that the parts never arrived then?

You should have dropped me a mail.

I've had a few problems with parcels not being delivered over the last few weeks. I'll get another set posted out to you Monday.

Thanks

Jon

Hey Jon,

I simply didn't want to bother as it is just a small part :)
But, no, nothing has arrived so far.

By the way, I advanced to page 10 and am happy as can be with your kit!

Not a problem at all.

Parts are cut and will be in the post tomorrow. Should have been tonight but missed the cut off time.

Any feedback is welcome, good, bad or indifferent.

Thanks

Jon

Fair Play

Parts were posted out and should be with you by Monday / Tuesday. If they haven't arrived by this time next week let me know and I'll send another set tracked.

Thanks

Jon

Some coming up today - just resumed after a break to finish another model... :)

I wondered - I have two kits, so I plan on doing a "hero" model as well as a skeleton. For the "hero" - what paint color should it be? In the film it's kind of a dark, rusty brown... Any ideas?

I need to figure out a better way of paneling - I'm not really thrilled with how it's turning out. I think I'm trying to use too many panels... thoughts?

Sorry to double post, but I'm also wondering what color I should paint it - I know it's kind of a rust color in the movie, but it also has tinges of black... Any ideas as to mixtures/paints to use?

So I scrapped the idea of doing the long panels - it wasn’t working well enough for my liking, so I went with “scales” - trapezoid panels cut directly to shape... long process, but I think it is turning out better.
