Comic Hush style Batsuit

Just got some photos from this year's Dragon Con back where I debuted my Hush style Batsuit. It's nothing special but I enjoyed wearing it. Having little kids walking by and waving at Batman was incredible. It had been a while since I suited up so I'd forgotten just how great it felt. I wanted to keep it on for the whole con and I just about did, with a few hours of being Solid Snake on Saturday but then it was back to Bats later that night. Most of the credit for the suit goes to my very talented girlfriend who's also the Catwoman in the photos. She made her suit, my cape, gloves and got the emblem on the chest for me. The cowl is from Dakota Luster of Luster's Workshop.

Cool! I'd probably get a separate cowl and neck piece. It looks like yours is all once piece. Hey while we're on the subject do you do anything special to keep the cowl and cape on your shoulders properly? I find I'm always having to hunch my shoulders and it gets painful after a while. Been thinking of velco-ing them together.

Cape is clipped together using paracord clamps around my neck, Like those found on backpacks. For the cowl, it just fits perfectly on my shoulders based on how it was designed. This cowl sadly tore while at a charity event and had to odor another one from reevz. The new cowl is similar to the hush cowl but seems to have longer ears and comes with a separate neck piece for easier head turns ($250)

Some can be very expensive depending on what goes into them. Reevzfx prices are very reasonable based on the detail and quality you get. I haven't seen a mask from reevz be over $250

Oh believe me I know of Reeve's quality. I guess someone must have been lying when they told me his cowls were double that. I only paid $150 for my cowl from Dakota Luster and it's nice, but there are some things that need to be improved on it that you can't see in photos, like there is some deep carve marks around the ears and some bubbles around the neck part that you don't notice if you're not looking for them, but I think it's because he doesn't specialize in cowls and hasnt been doing them for as long as Shaun has. Plus I think he also adds a texturing to the outside that no one else does.
