M.A.S.K. Matt Trakker costume and masks

I used to have the jeep to which the mask on the left belonged to and the green bike for the mask to the right.I could play with those toys for hours

Finished these two masks: Torch and Hocus Pocus. And the next one is in the works...

I'm nominating you for the Mask-of-the-Year Award :thumbsup This is awesome material and you make it look so easy !
Will you be building the suits for each mask as well?

I'd love to see more of the WIP steps. These builds are so clean and perfect. Especially since it's being done without templates.

Are you building paper or cardboard pieces before cutting the final pieces of foam?

I do research by making screenshots of the masks from different angles. I then make some lifesize sketches and from there clean templates for the build. Since i know what is possible with foam or to handle it to achieve a certain shape, i sometimes have no template at all. And it´s some adjusting during the build.

May i just say that i am really happy that you all appreciate my work...i have so much fun building these masks. I remember building them out of cardboard when i was a child and what joy it was playing with the toys.

Now, here are some making of pictures:

Have to wait for some more foam to arrive and i´ve got only one sheet left. So i had to do a smaller mask...Hondo MacLean´s "Blaster I".

Here are some work in progress pictures:

...and added some details with thin foam rubber:

Next step will be sealing the mask with wood glue and filling the gaps with acrylic caulk.
