If that's the case, then you don't need to seal it. You're actually making use of the porosity of the plaster to dry the latex.
Most of the time, folks want to sculpt with clay on the lifecast, mold that, and cast prosthetics from those molds.
For future projects, Plaster of Paris is not an ideal material for head casts, as it is a very weak plaster. Hydrocal or Ultracal are preferable, depending on the use.
