Yeah, it really did. The principle thing that irked me - Krennic - was me assuming that he was going to be the charismatic villain of the century, based on less than 5 seconds of trailer footage. I set myself up for massive disappointment. That, and the Tarkin/Leia CGI stuff was really jarring to me. You're right though, a great film I need to watch again soon.

Some of these early reviews are sounding very "corporate"..."the lead is an EXCELLENT Han Solo...the actor playing Lando will KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF...it FEELS and looks like "Old Star Wars...(I'm paraphrasing, but you get the idea.)"

I posted it as its the ONLY actual report of people actually seeing something from this farce of a production. If you dont think that I think its another corporate spin job then this is obviously your first visit to this thread.:lol

If I had of posted that with the video then I would have been accused of more Disney bashing. So thanks for doing it for me, as I knew someone would but probably not in such a weird way.

If you know of anything else thats been posted anywhere on the web about the trailer screening, please post it as many will be interested. Perhaps you can make a video about it.

I would personally love this idea. I've always been fascinated by how politics was/is handled in Star Wars. If you haven't read the new canon book "bloodline" and you find SW politics interesting I highly suggest reading it. The book made up for how badly politics was handled in TFA.

Edit* and also the "Leia Princess of Alderaan" book that just came out deals with politics midway between ROTS and ANH. And it also introduces Haldo as a young friend to Leia (they're like 15 in the book)

Solo runtime is rumored to be 2 hours, 23 minutes. Anything over 2 hours feels bloated to me - but, maybe this will be a surprise.

Latest rumor of a trailer is tomorrow - as it's allegedly playing before the new Maze Runner movie that's released on Friday (or Thursday evening). Of course, take that with a grain of salt.

I think there will be a trailer BEFORE Super Bowl Sunday cause if they debut something on Super Bowl it would have to be a 30 second spot instead of a full 2 min trailer. I think they will still show something on superbowl but it will just be a shorter version of what was already released.

I don't know why people are crapping on this already. My expectations for this are already like 80/100 in thinking it will be good. With TLJ it was 40/100.

i am going into this real blind, i think along with everyone else. with that being said, i have a positive attitude towards it. i havent wasted 2 years speculating, and theorizing only to be let down..

plus ive learned my lesson, ill never go see another star wars movie unless im drunk :cheers:wacko
