So, no RPF love for the new pilot, Poe Dameron?

Glad it helped. I'm ordering the tall ones as they're the only ones my size, and I'll cut them down to the correct size and re-edge them. It will still leave two buckles so they'll fit fine and still be canon. Don't get me wrong, if some people are just doing casual cosplay the others are fine and close enough. But for RL etc I imagine it's going to make a difference, and better to try and get it right than spend money on something they might later say you can't use and have to find and buy another pair.

The gloves for example are no longer made, they're ex-UK Police Public order gloves (Riot Police) M300s. With two pads on the thumb on Poe's, and 1 pad on the thumb for everyone else's. They're so hard to find now. There's a guy selling them for about $80 on facebook, can't remember if I found him on here or on Rebel Legion. But the supply is scarce sadly, people have been emailing the original production people to see what it'd take to get them to make another run lol

Yes, I'm waiting on the gloves until the RL standards are a bit farther along. Jess has the single thumb and Poe the split thumb. Since I'm not doing a face character, it may be that either style would be OK, but I want to know first. :)

So ive started putting together Poe's Jakku outfit; I've found a shirt, and will be going with Magnoli for the jacket.

When it comes to the pants I'll be making them. I'll probably be going with cotton sateen but if anyone knows if the material is something different like wool then please let me know.

What I wanted to ask is if anyone had a good close enough for the Well 2 Black Po-Zu boots because they're sold out.
Something that's got the flat sole, straps, and gives off the look of the SA boots. I haven't found anything close enough but hopefully someone else has.

I second that. I've set up an email alert with Po-Zu in case the Well 2 comes back before I absolutely need it in July, but honestly I wouldn't be heartbroken about a cheaper "close enough" option anyway.

For what it's worth on the boots front:

I made this: the S-ACE ones have the same lower, but the upper doesn't match, whilst they look a better fit in terms of total height under the flight suit to the other ones, the sides and front aren't quite right at the top and the heel doesn't curve inwards.

The Mucker seems almost identical, with the exception of needing to cover/remove the Hi-Viz tape on the heel. It's just a question of is it too high up the leg or not, which is hard to see in the screenshots.

But from what I can see here:,

Poe has short ones too, but Oscar Isaac is a size 10, so he's not wearing the women's boot so they must be available somewhere. http://celebriot.com/oscar-isaac-weight-height-ethnicity-hair-color-shoe-size

Just I know some people have bought the S-Ace already and I'd hate for them to end up finding they couldn't use it in the stricter realms of the costume world e.g. RL.

Female Boot is available here: £18 for the Boot £6.50 for postage 41 in stock at this time:

Yeah those boots were alright before more details were seen, but I ended buying these to replace them.
http://www.jdwilliams.com/view-all-footwear/cushion-walk-winter-boots-e-fit/invt/fm143fb They only seem to have women's sizes available, sorry big footed boys. ;) I'm still using my old ones for snow shoveling and playing in the muddy yard.

Just as a word of warning, I ordered this on the 14th and just got it in today and the quality is.... less than to be desired. The cotton is VERY thin and the placket has buttons. The collar is made of a very stiff interfacing which I hope will soften with washing (but there is no way that I'll dry this shirt) It fits kinda strangely because the fabric is extremely soft but the interfacing makes the placket not want to move. The seams are also raw on the inside. For $20 it's not bad, just don't expect a high quality shirt

The shirt is pure Italian linen and the pants are 100% cotton twill. All made to measure. We'll be posting these to our site in the next week or so.

They look amazing! Do you have a rough idea on the turn around time for the shirt?

The shirt seems good except the actual one has no snaps like Han's shirt.
You can see it in the scene in the x-wing, when Poe takes his jacket off his sleeves roll down and are freely open.

The color of the pants is good too, but the actual one's had flat felled seams on the sides and pockets. Aside from that minor niggle they're good on belt loop sizing and pocket sizing.

6-8 weeks on average.

Do you have any photos showing the cuffs? I just checked that scene and either he has open cuffs like Han or his sleeve is ripped, because there is something flapping on the sleeve that's rolled up.

These pants do have flat felled seams on the sides and pockets (as well as on the patches on the back of the knees).

I'm not saying it's a closed sleeve, you got the pattern right! I'm just saying it has no snaps, the sleeves have no closure just like his jacket.

I don't know who decided Poe Dameron's outfit should be so devoid of even hidden closure, but the shirt collar and sleeve cuffs just hang open.

Hmm... can you get some screen grabs? Having vented sleeves that are wide enough to be rolled up would look odd when not rolled up, not to mention a pain to keep down when you're putting a jacket on.
