Well seeing how popular this kit has become so far, I thought maybe we should start a new thread and consolidate all the great information and various other links to detailed parts as they come in in one place for all of us to enjoy and share. I'll attempt to keep all the most valuable links on this top post for all those that need it or want it so far. Join in and let us know where you're from if you've already purchased the subscription to it. If you still have no idea what this is here's a video about what it's all about:

Yes, this kit has providence back to the original 32" inch filming studio model.

Now if that doesn't spark your fire, here's a link from their website video about it:

And here's what everyone is waiting to get!

Now, that should have got your juices pumping. The website for ordering this "hunk of junk" is located here:

It's a weekly magazine subscription, you are getting a pack of parts with every issue and there are 100 issues total. Making the subscription last for 25 months total. Each month you receive 4 issues at once. Each issue sells for about $14.99 making each month a total of about $66.29 a month (with shipping). Since this was first issued in the UK, they are ahead of us by about 8 issues so far (I think they have received up to issue 11 if I'm not mistaken). Now so far there have been some really excellent ultra detail parts that have been created at Shapeways. Some of the internal pieces aren't as detailed as you'd expect because it's never been done before to this exacting standard (for example, the console is a sticker attached to the plastic, it's a good print, but leaves alot to be desired). So some of our fellow modelers have come out with a bunch of 3D printed parts to fix that problem.

There are quite a few build logs that are being done (most from the UK builders)... here's a couple of the more informative:

There are also a ton of builds and tips on this forum

http://forum.us.model-space.com/default.aspx?g=topics&f=105

Good call my friend... here's some good Studio 32" Falcon pic links that I've collected for those that really want to accurize this baby!

Personally I plan to put every single hash mark and written name on mine when it's done. Even the penciled squares! :)

The only way to make this thread work better than the original one is to constantly update your first post with the useful links and tips. Otherwise this thread will only detract from the original thread. There is also your blog thread and IIRC another build thread, I guess we have quite ample coverage now ;)

That's exactly what I intend to do... keep it all the good links and posts in the first post so you don't have to o searching thru the whole forum! Make sense?

I volunteer to do forum support for the model space website so if there are any questions feel free to PM me here or on the model space forum

Thanks for those. Been a great help detailing the notches etc. I had reference for most of it, but some of those were the icing on the cake. Should be ready to test some panels out on the Deagostini model soon. Obviously my nose cone fits, now it's time for a tunnel.

So I have heard for a long time that the base colour was Floquil Grime or Floquil Grime 50/50 with Reefer White. Now somebody is saying that it is Floquil 'Concrete'.

Does anyone have a definitive answer as to what the base colour actually was? If they do I would really like to know.
