What's on your workbench? (no Star Wars, Marvel or DC stuff)

Re: What's on your workbench?

I just love it when my workbench looks like this.

Currently working on this gem:

Bought a set of GMProps electronics and currently working on the body. Made the graphics myself and printed them out at a Kodak Kiosk in CVS (retail pharmacy chain for those out of country) and plan on using them instead of what was provided, save the screen.

Re: What's on your workbench?

A Snowspeeder, and a Deago Falcon....all in the shipping boxes. Plus the finishing touches to a 30' falcon already lit with electronics.

Blood Bowl Ball.jpgIt's not much, but started work on the Blood Bowl Ball that will rest within the hands of a free-scoring Orc outfit I am working on.
BBowl Ball and Arm.jpgWill be repainting over the NRL graphics, but may be for the best it is all repainted rather than trying to stop any paint spill onto the ball

Re: What's on your workbench?

My prototype rubber "Alien Drool" pad. :)

Getting this stuff to splat and pool is a bit of challenge as it wants to just spread out and self level.

Re: What's on your workbench?

Pretty embarrassing compared to what I see here. I have plenty of accurate and more professionally made props for my Predator but I am putting an added 'less' intensive prop Predator in my Halloween display this year and needed a cannon. It needed to be light...so paper towel tube, paper plate bits, spare pieces of cardboard and TP. I am not really pleased with it honestly but it will work, especially at 10-20 feet.

You might not think your work is very good, I'd say you were wrong. Beyond everything else, you made the effort and saw it through. That alone deserves praise. Keep it up the great work !!!

Re: What's on your workbench?

I've been stopped in my literal tracks (was fixing dinner, just got registered etc. here) Amazing work from so many people! On my bench right now are miniatures I'm painting and some terrain for gaming though I never game but hope to change that. I know this isn't the right place to do a first reply or post in general , but I did at least fill out my personal info rather in-depth and hope that if desired my info there and twitter, intstagram, etc. (no place for tumblr?) help "flesh me out" - i won't include pics since they are not prop replicas though I'm obviously dying to get into "the hobby" - thank you all for sharing your work and for being what I already know from others to be a GREAT COMMUNITY. Looking forward to getting to know many of you. I will still do a proper "intro " , again sorry this is in wrong place. Bad way to start but I also "needed" to see my ancient avatar/sig "in forum" to be sure I saved all that and pics sized right. THANK YOU ALL FOR THIS SITE!

Working on my own 1:1 Good Guy (Chucky) doll (finally!) Anyone with ideas on how to make bendable knee joints between PVC pipe parts?

Re: What's on your workbench?

Not a prop but a automata based on the show soul eater. Nearly finished with it. Mechanically its all done*, but I have a ton of sanding and staining and painting to do. Not super happy with it but its better than the original version I posted in the general modeling section a year or so ago.

* note to self: do not make 'improvements' on prototypes. I lost functionality in her head because I thought "Hey, I should go from a disc with pegs to a metal disc and magnets to program her leg!" I didn't consider the magnets would slip because of the additional pressure the return spring on the head would cause.
