Show your custom Lightsabers!

Hey Regis Armouries ! I love that Activation Box! It has an imagination inspiring look to it. I see it as some sort of DNA sampling/ thumbprint reading device that ignites and retracts the lightsaber's blade only for its builder. Is that all one gizmo or several bits all put into place inside the wardrobe rail fitting?

This is an actual custom hilt I'm working on. It's a saberforge monarch machined to resemble a simply props starkiller hilt.

There ya go! It's looking great so far! What's happening there above and below the "GRAFLEX Pin Holes"? I can't make out if it's Sharpie (for detecting rubbing/clearance issues, etc.) or if you've ground/cut out 'damage' in those areas.

What're you going to power it with? Light it with? Etc.?

Saberforge press fitted and glued all 4 pins in place instead of threading them. I had to force each pin out and sand both areas down to correct any scratches left during the process. This is what it looked like before I began the customization......Screenshot_2016-05-08-23-26-19-1-1.png2017-07-12 10.53.50.pngScreenshot_2016-05-08-23-26-22-1.png

Hi Ridire Firean, thank you! It does look a bit like that, doesn't it? Given the lightsaber swapping that's occurred in the SW universe I guess a security measure like that could be useful! The bits inside the wardrobe rail fitting are a 3.5" floppy drive head as a base, with an internal connector removed from a hard drive (that goes from the control board to the heads) on top, all hot glued in place to cover the screws holding it to the grip.

I also cut about a 1/4" off of each outer wall on either side of the crystal chamber so to be closer to the inner wall of the chamber. If you look at the original monarch you will see a thick ring of metal just past the big momentary switch on the waist acting as sort of a lid to cover the threaded part where the lower body unscrews from the upper body. I filed down that "lid" so to be flush with the rest of the waist. I also removed the original end cap and replaced it with an accurate end cap which made the hilt a 1/2" shorter in length. Overall, the length of the hilt was shortened by 3/4" so far I think because I never measured the original.

Back in 2016 I made my Stealth Saber and posted it here. I loaned it out to a Star Wars short fan film which is now going to be a new Star Wars pilot being shot in Denmark starring Lars Mikkelsen who is the voice of Grand Admiral Thrawn on Star Wars Rebels!

Super excited about the fact that the saber made it into the movie. It got majorly beat to hell during shooting and will have to be rebuilt but it was worth it. They want it back for the pilot so I'm letting it go to my good friend who is shooting the film.

See the mini trailer here. More to come...

All I could think is that @SethS must have surely made at least one saber that's remotely similar to one of them. Seeing as how he's made so damn many of them :lol
Nice find! Some nice designs there. What doesnt make sense is why does he never use his lightsaber instead of hanging them on his belt for display? Imagine how much damage he could have done against Luke and the rest of his rescue party, instead of just having his blaster cut in two.:facepalm Oh well he still is the coolest bounty hunter. :)

Wow, this thing is nice!
Can you confirm this is based on a “Grafite 3 cell - Military version”? Really want one now...

This would go beautifully with a dark crystal chamber design. :cool
How does this compare in size to an OT Vader MPP? Any thoughts?
Building one chassis for both would be way more cost effective... ;)
