Show your custom Lightsabers!

I made three back when I was in high school, before all of the customized cnc parts started, and before digital cameras. Back then if you couldnt find a graflex tube on ebay you had to go to the hardware store and buy lengths of pipe. I didnt have access to a lot of tools at the time either. I had to scan the picture of the first one. :lol

Here are updated versions of them that I want to make, designed on the sabershop designer.

Howdy all,

I just wrapped up a test saber. I thought it turned out nice, so I figured I'd post it here...

Oh, wow, super nice! First time I see a canon used for the bottom of the hilt. Super creative, congrats:thumbsup

Hey slothfurnace ! O.K. so, does it telescope in the middle? I imagine that if you release the lever and slide the clamp up its rail system, the saber hilt extends into a longer half staff!

And I'm lovin' that new blade connector!!!

Please tell us how you patinaed the "Collapsable Antenna"/choke section. It's super purdy!

Wow, you guys have been busy, so many awesome sabers!

I finally got round to properly starting on that Heiland/hose barb saber I posted way back after scraping together a home machine shop.

Took some time to learn and get a feel for the machines but felt I'd had enough practical now.

Anyhoo, I turned off the barbs and later found a cool looking pipe couple nut which I intended to use for the pommel, but I ended up turning the it down some (looked too chunky up top) and made the collor out of it.

The pommel is a bit, well, you know, I simply had the parts on hand so went with it, and while it kind of fits the look, I realise that it's a way too obvious, barring the brass bit sticking out the bottom which came from a boiler:

Hey I actually finished a saber today. Sometimes they come together fast. King Sol base, chopped the cap on the bottom. Inner emitter is from a Leitz, outer is off a Canon Y with a cut up wine stopper. Replaced the button on the Sol with an LED. Wish I'd finished earlier when there was some good light still.

Love it. Nice to see a machined custom saber

Hey CrazyCraig ! Where's that small, Hale's Grenade-ish windvaney looking part from that's between the choke and the rectangular black "button"? It looks a lot like the Luke ROTJ saber "windvanes". Great find if it's some random part!
