Last part to complete is the trigger. I'm aiming to get it done in the next couple of days. Can't wait to finish out this kit!

It does look like real metal. The detail in the grip is amazing. However, I don't think I really used this gun much in game.

Thanks brother!

Yeah, the gun is hard to find to begin with. I think the only place you can get it is at Mick & Ralph's, and you need to have the Gunrunner's DLC installed. It is a great holdout weapon for the casinos, though (as long as your sneak is high enough).

Once I get it, I use the hell out of it. Good bonus on it and the 12.7mm's have decent damage for earlier in the game.

Looks awesome! Im amazed at the ridiculous high quality of 3d print, wish my printers could do that xD. What printer do you have? Ultimaker? And what was the print time out of curiosity?

Thanks! The printer that I used for 90 percent of this build was a Form 2 SLA printer. You're able to print pretty high quality with SLA, so that's why everything looks so sharp. I did print the trigger part with my Lulzbot FDM printer, but everything else was from the Form 2.

So I got some better shots of the build. Really excited to finally have this one under my belt.

Another side project I'm finishing up. Making some Fallout 3/NV era frag grenades. I'm using lilykill's model, with a bit of editing done by myself.

The grenade spoons were off, being squared instead of angled like seen on the game model. Also, the pull pin trigger area was missing, so I added that as well. Other than those two changes, the kits are exactly as lilykill designed them, and it was quite easy to cast the parts up that way and assemble. I cold casted the three middle sections and the spoons with aluminum powder, and cold casted the brass parts with brass powder. I have four more kits to finish painting and begin assembling, and I intend to use three of them to make a hanging Grenade Bouquet. I also need to add the pull pins.

So, been replaying New Vegas a lot lately. Playing in Hardcore Mode is much more fun, and one of the things it forces one to do is weigh in the importance of the various ammos you might carry. Ammo weighs you down quickly in Hardcore Mode, and for me personally, made me look towards non-gun weapons as a means of keeping weight down.

I was always a big fan of the Power Fist and Ballistic Fist in this regard. However, earlier in the game these weapons are not cheap, to say the least.

I found the unique set of spiked knuckles, 'Love and Hate', and used them a lot in close range combat. I had never used them before in any other playthroughs, as I usually sell off the stuff that doesn't appeal to me. I'm typically a gun-combat kinda guy. But recently I used them quite a bit, so I decided to check out the game model and play around with it a little.

This is what came of that:

Ahhhh!!!!! I haven't finished mine. (Okay, I may never)

I see this is the Pip-Boy 2000 Mk IV. I like that is has more soft parts. Making it much easier to figure out a way to make it fit your arm.
It has more of a sheet metal construction, instead of the cast construction of the 3000 Mk IV.

I love the Nixi tube VU meters! I bet holotapes fit into the bottom portion where the clock is located. I wonder if the holotapes will be different.

I think the only part that looks off to me is those three loose wires near the rad gauge. Unless those are supposed to be sensors, like a compact thermal probe.
Also, we are back to a low-res CRT screen with scan lines instead of the high-res screen on the 3000.

If, I take a crack at it, I won't promise a group buy, I will just build it for myself and publish the build. Trying to make the 3000 Mk IV into a kit form caused to much of a headache in finding source-able parts.

I notice too that the buttons are bigger and more spaced apart... Perhaps it is built for VR. The more cartoon graphics, and the lack of ambient occlusion in the trailer makes me think it is.

@zapwizard Yeah, it appears to be their attempt to modernize the original Pipboy 2000 into the more current style. Not just the Nixie tubes, but the screen shape/bezel, the label on the back, ect. Very cool, me thinks.
