Is it really a line? Could also be light reflecting on a shiny black plastic elevated part of the knob, no?

Now that it's obvious this is dead, what are your thoughts on the remotes that Doc's Propshop makes? I follow him on Facebook and he churns out tons of remotes in 3 different price points. At least it's nice to know there are other options out there.

Search for Stanley readoutdisplays on shapeways. Not a full item but at least you have the displays, you will need some arts and crafts work and getting to build the front lens... but hey. its something
