Prepping A Master Sculpt (Daft Punk Thomas Ear Pucks) for Pour Molding/Casting

I have some questions about prepping my master sculpt for pour molding.

I have 3D printed Daft Punk Thomas ear pucks that I've mastered with sanding and primer: http://vimeo.com/111584461

I've worked my way up to 600 grit wet sand paper then given the model a coat of ruddy brown primer.

I know I have to seal the model to prep it for the rubber mold.

At this stage do I spray it with clear coat THEN wet sand with 1000 - 2000? How high a grit do you need to go for a glossy cast finish? Do I need to sand the primer coat at 1000 grit BEFORE applying the clear coat? Is the last step before molding spraying with clear coat or sanding?

When I pull my cast I want a smooth, shiny finish that will require little sanding. I would like to not have to spray the cast with primer prior to spray chroming it. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have.
