Hey everyone! This is my 1st build ever. Since I'm a huge fan of Bioware's RPG ( Dragon age, Mass Effect, Star wars: the old republic, etc..), I decided to make the Inquisitor's armor from Bioware's newest RPG: Dragon age: Inquisition. I started this project in May and finished it at the end of October. I saw the contest on facebook, so I thought why not
I'd like to thank Bioware for making awesome RPGs, Steven K Smith Props for sharing his build and techniques, my brother, sisters and father for lending me their tools.
Beware: newbie's build below!!
I began to work on the helmet 1st because my 1st intention was to make only the helmet to decorate my shelf.
I had no idea how to make the round base of the helmet. But lucky for me, my broken motorbike helmet was laying around, so I got the foam base out of it.
I made the dragon head of clay and everything else of foam.
I finished all small details and primed it with white-glue then spray-painted it.
After having finished the helmet, I saw Steven K Smith Props's build and got inspiration from his to continue making the whole armor.
Drawing templates was a pain, because I had to make it fit myself and there weren't many pictures of the armor at the time.
I hate sewing
Some tools/ materials that I bought.
Alright, finished the upper part of the armor.
Legs...
Hands...
More sewing ugh!
Painting time!
Assembling time!
Cutting stuff for the sword
Most were made of foam except the clay pommel and the pvc core.
I painted the sword and the belt, assembled the rest of the pieces and finished the set! I haven't had time to go out and take pictures, so all pictures of the complete set will be in-house.
Done!
