Ten Commandments set unearthed after 91 years.

They should rebury it when they're done and just put a marker there, that way nobody can disturb it for another 91 years. Can you imagine movie sets so big that it wasn't worth tearing them down? It shows you the scope of the old movies right up until Cleopatra nearly bankrupted its studio during filming.
 
Considering what this set must have cost back then it's amazing they left it there and didn't tear it down or recycle it, i'm sure some of it could have been reused. This thing would be a big deal for collectors as it's a Cecil B Demille movie.
 
I've never seen the 1923 version, I may have to check into that.

As for the Heston version--that is a ritual in my house every Easter. Even though they don't play it anymore we always watch it on that day. In about 1995 we "officially" added Raiders as the sequel.
