Captain America WW2 Costume

Hey guys,
I've been working on a Captain America rescue bucky, the WW2 shield of Captain America.
I love the costume, that's why i'm making the shield, and i want to make the full costume too.
Now this is kind of a budget build, since i'm 15 and don't have much money.
So I would want to ask you guys if you can help me.
If you know anything about the costume, where to get parts, how much they cost, how i can make them maybe.
Every advice of you guys is very welcome, since i have no idea how to get the things like a similar leather jacket, the belt, the helmet and the shirt.
So if you know where I can get any of these things, or how to make them, please share it with me.

My favorite version of Cap as well. There are several threads on this if you search it out that will detail a lot of the gear.

I got most of my stuff at At The Front (a WW2 reproduction company)-just google it.

Top Pots also sells reproduction gear.

You can get a less expensive helmet and paint it yourself. I used a helmet liner for mine.

Try those places for the web gear and paratrooper pants.

For the boots, I would think you could use a pair of high top leather hiking boots and get some scrap leather to make the leather cuffs.

Do a search here though as I know there are at least two costumers who identified all the parts of his kit.

Thrift shops are your friend. Also garage sales. Look for "close-enough" gear, and see if you can modify it to be closer in accuracy. Paints, dyes, etc. And don't forget to look in the women's section, that's where I've found many a leather coat. They don't always look closely at the garment to see if it's in the right place.

Best of all, have fun while being creative! We all started there!
 
Yeah the jacket is what concerns me most, since online replicas easily cost around 500$. I'll look at the women departement but there isn't a thrift shop in a range of 30 km. If i search a thread on here with the keywords captain america (costume) i get 2 related ones and the rest is random stuff.
 
Welcome to the RPF. This is a fun costume, slightly more complex that it looks at first glance, but still pretty straight-forward.
