Ok, people that have had success getting the Marvel Legends helmet taken apart and reassembled. I was replacing my lenses, and putting this thing back together is (as others have mentioned) a mild challenge. In particular, Iím having issues getting the face plate reattached at the bottom. It seems like thereís something in the way of getting mask to sit flush and reattach to the mounting points. I worked at this for the better part of an hour before giving up.

Anyone out there have some advice on what Iím doing wrong? Iím hoping thereís a trick Iím just stupidly missing on getting this to work out!

I had a lot of trouble with this part too. The problem is that the side pipes (the ones you have to cut to get the front face apart) have to kind-of "wrap" around the front. Its difficult because there are also two little clips inside that have to be hooked in the right position as well. My advice would be to try to get one side secured and then move on to the other. Get the pipe in, then get the clip in, then work your way over to the other side. And you'll have to sort-of bend the plastic outward to get it to wrap around and click into place. It feels like you're going to break it but you won't. Just don't put too much prying force on the thin little side pipes.

I have been slowly but surely assembling my vol. 2 costume and it is finally close to completion. I still need blasters, holsters, necklaces, and a few little details but aside from that it looks great! My jacket is from USA jacket and is extremely nice. I was a little skeptical but it came out as a perfect fit and looks fairly accurate for the price. I got the shirt from hjackets.com. The pants arenít very accurate but they look the part for now and I got those from eBay here: https://m.ebay.com/itm/MENS-ARMORED-...Ji-ZDpBXL-Glfw Here is a close up look at the shin guards. The back black piece was made of leather we dyed black and the front was made two layers of craft foam with some mesh glued on either side for some added texture. The belt we made by hand using leather and used a medium brown leather dye. The center buckle was made of leather as well and painted silver with a bit of rub and buff. The triangular rings on either side of the buckle were made of magic sculpt which is an excellent sculpting material that is cheap, hardens quickly and can be sanded after gardening. I donít have boots or boot covers yet as well as necklaces, blasters, and holsters so if any of you have any ideas on where to get some that would be awesome.

Hah, I got those VERY same pants for my costume when I started making it a year ago! They definitely look the part, especially in person. The detail is hard to get on camera. I removed the badging and pocket off mine though from the thigh. I have one of the satchels he carries from the first one to go with the costume and its pretty good for holding all my stuff.

So I was looking back but canít find any,

But had anyone tried any of those China cosplay sets you eBay or similar?

    https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ecgAA...e2Z/s-l300.jpg

They seem to be relatively screen accurate but also have some good textures and details.

Anyone got first hand experience with these?

That image of Star Lord's helmet has been in the intro to every Marvel movie since Guardians 1. It's not the new helmet.

Almost there. This is a solid test print done on my own machine. I'm having the final version done plated metal and brass.

I just learned something interesting from a local Skecher store. They recently upgraded the Diameter shoe line. The soles are now tougher and will last longer.

Hey guys! As promised, here's a little review of the Star Lord Vol. 2 vest and pants from White Sheep Leather

First off, the jacket; gotta say, the pattern is basically spot on. The jacket moves around in a pretty strange way, since it's part cordura, part leather, but it looks pretty incredible. Leather on the flap and on the back/neck armor needs to be softened a bit, but otherwise, I spent a good 30 minutes comparing it to the on-screen design and it matches pretty faithfully to me. The tailoring is perfect for me, I'm a perfect M for their tailoring and it fits me like a glove. Like I said though, the open flap on their jacket is still quite stiff, and it won't stay open. I'm just holding it using my pin in the pictures.

For comparison, there's my BlackLeatherJacket faux leather one. I mean, I say comparison but the BlackLeatherJacket pattern was made when barely any info was released so it looks really simple. (Also ordered a size too large for the BLJ)

The pants, on the other hand. That's a bit of a different story. First of all they ain't brown. They're basically dark red, same as the jacket. Now it's cordura, it can be weathered and darkened, which I intend to do, but it's just something to think about. Hell, if you were to order it, I think you could contact them and ask for it in brown. I asked for a custom fit, but the pants are still a tad loose, so I'll have to tighten them up a bit. The pants are not as accurate as the jacket, but it's more interesting than the brown pants I used to wear. So, all in all, the pants require a bit of work, if I'm honest, but it's very manageable, and I'm super happy with the result so far.

Recommend the jacket 100%, pants if you can put the work in!

Wow that jacket looks amazing. Iím definitely going to get one. You said the medium fits like a glove, what size are you? Iím 37Ē in chest and 17Ē shoulders and not sure if their small would be perfect or go for their medium.
