Guardians of the Galaxy Costumes

The licensed costumes for the upcoming film The Guardians of the Galaxy have been revealed! I'm really interested in seeing what the Star Lord mask and gun look like in person. Might be ordering one soon... at least the gun looks "mod-able"

They both look alright, but I am not impressed.
Each look cast from a very bendable plastic.

You could always get the mask, mount it to a thin plastic helmet to make it more rigid, weather the mask a bit, cut out the fake hair portion so the wearer's hair shows through, buy a better jacket on ebay. The short ones are fairly accurate and cheap. Keep the gun, weather it too and add the leg rockets. Would be a fairly good starter suit. Then use the latex mask as a model and build one out of plastic and foam. Looks fairly straight forward regarding shapes.

Are these kid sized, or adult sized?

I'm guessing the kid size one won't come close to fitting an adult without cutting it up the back.
