SNG studios Daily video

Ears look Great!

I still wear mine occasionally from you.

Funny thing is Nimoys ears fit me perfectly! :lol

I decided to get more work done on the Martian Transponder today since soon we will be shooting some of the first scene for our movie, “Martians Attack SNG.” So much has to be done on this film but until we have at least this prop we could star any shooting of it being built and the scenes with Gary Hughes and Bob Burns.
The parts are just laying there at present. The black gasket rims and the vacuum formed bubbles I made today need to be glued down. The needles installed and the lighting added. I’m hoping to do all this tomorrow. The black rings will be more circular once they are glued in the correct position. Right now they are just tossed in for a look.
Although we have bigger vacuum form machines this little relic from the 60s (Given to us by Eric Nyquist) comes in handy for small bubble and parts and works like a charm still to this day.
After the dentist again tomorrow we will get lots more done. More work on this prop, the skydiver and the perks!

The Martian transponder continues and I nearly finished it. Still there needs to be about another 2 hours into it tomorrow morning, I need to add more brass tubes around the edge and back light it with some violet LED's for an eerie glow. Also, there are those bent and curved tubes to add. And those steam punk rivets.
Tomorrow I will be finishing the top side of the Skydiver and polishing off the cowls they have to be molded this week.
With any luck I’ll finish off the Martian Thursday and have a mold making day on Friday.DSC03127.JPGDSC03128.JPGDSC03129.JPG

Thank you. glad you like it. What we are doing for our film is totally changing everything about the Martians and how they look. Space Craft and weapons included. It seems to be a trend these days and we have joined it,

Steve, as always you never fail to amaze. The scanner is brilliant and I think there were at least half-a-dozen techniques you showed in this episode that I'll be leveraging. Thanks!

Finished Belle’s Batwoman cowl today and molded it. Now we have both molds and as soon as they dry up a bit we can cast up some pulls and paint them black! Can’t wait.
Next up tomorrow molds of the Vulcan ears. Stay tuned.DSC03200.JPGDSC03203.JPGDSC03205.JPGDSC03206.JPGDSC03209.JPGDSC03211.JPG

What a day today. It started off by finding out my mother had passed away a week after it happened because my three uncles claim they couldn't locate me. Really? All they had to do was a Google search and bingo.

The show goes on and so does the work. I have always found that my work helps me thought life’s little hurtles. It sure did when my late wife was passing in 2013.

Today I got the ears molds made for the prosthetic Vulcan ears. Tomorrow I start the Martian mold. That will be the last in this series of sculpts. But there will be more. Lots more.
The pictures show some of the progression of these molds but it will be better explained in this weeks “SNG Weekly” show.

Thank you. My work always helps me through these time. It got me through my wife's passing last year. There's been too much of this lately. It's been a rough week to say the least but on with the show!

Wow, Steve's back! How'd I miss this thread? Welcome back!
Never miss a video, and now that you have gone to weekly it's easier for me to stay caught up -- no more SNG binge watching. lol

Hope to see your older vids back in a consolidated fashion when you get a chance. And we haven't seen Rosie lately, make sure she gets some air time soon!

Any news on the project that Gary Lockwood and John Savage were developing?

Sorry to hear about your mother, and the manner you received the news, my condolences.

Hey thanks a bunch Doug! I'm not connected with that project anymore. I tend to not get involved in any fan made Star Trek projects anymore. I think it best that film makers give us some creative material and not repeat what has been done. But that's jus my opinion really.
thanks again!

These are amazing stuff - it will be great to follow!!! Hey, Steve, I'm very sorry to hear of your mother's passing after your loss just a year ago. But it's really good to know things are going well for you otherwise.

Thought I had shared this here but I didn't.

This is a design I did a drawing of for our film, "Martians Attack SNG" in pre-production now. The design is steampunk like the Martian and the props. It's loosely based on the Nautilus of course but there's a reason for it in the script which I can't reveal at the time or it gives the story away. Many people of jumped to conclusions and had some pretty interesting judgmental statements without knowing the purpose or facts.

I started yesterday scratch building the ship and it will all be seen blow by blow on our show end of this wee. but in the mean time here are some pictures starting with the drawing.
