WIP: Sean Bradley Energy Sword; Electronics Buildout

I have been messing with this since DragonCon Last year, but I never thought to publish any of the pictures of the work in progress here.

I am using a Sean Bradley Designed Halo Energy Sword Shell, that Sean also painted and finished.

I went with a a small ATTiny processor, and some WS2812 LED's to provide the animation and lights. I wrote the program that instructs the LED's what to do, and how to behave

I started by assembling the LED's and removing the weather striping from one of the lengths. I secured them via a zip tie to each other and positioned them within the blades. I then secured the blades together with double-sided ATG Tape.

Once I closed the blades, I had them execute the program I created. This initiates with a blue flash, and then ebbs to a purple at the base of the hilt and then surges back to a full blue brightness.

Here is a video of the animation, and some detail showing the glow from both sides of the double-sided LED's
