Hello to all

Here is a new project, it's the renovation of an SSD that I do for a collector.

The first step was the complete disassembly and a bath of Glanzer to strip paint

before bath

after bath

Then I started to drill the holes for the fiber

Passage of the optical fiber

I repare the edges of the SSD with styrene

Welcome to the 1/2 mile of fiber club, looking really good!!
I'm on the same build right now, I'm up to around 2000' & over 2500 fiber runs.

I'm on the same build right now, I'm up to around 2000' & over 2500 fiber runs.

I do not know how many holes I drilled, but I drilled a sacred numbers, I know that I used pretty 200/250 meter fiber

Here is the result with the passage of fiber optic deck upper and lower, control station and motors

I've got to repair the edges of mine as well. How exactly do you make it work when it is so thin? Also who do you use for fiber supply?

Edges for the job is not finished, I repair the missing parts by scratching pieces of styrene, the outline that I have realized is used as base to work.

I feed the fibers with ribbon del, I made boxes inside the vessel, the fibers arrive in the box or is disposed del ribbon and diffuses the light.
