Trek Movie Comm's Under Construction

Hi all. Some of you may have noticed that FLM Concepts is constructing lids for the Trek III, and Trek V communicator's. For me this was a dream come true. I have always wanted to do this project, but without a good place for lids I was unable to get it going.

The time has finally arrived, and you don't need to wait very long. I have masters almost ready for molding, and the rubber has been ordered. I could have these ready by next week. I have already cast all the little parts, and just need to complete, and get the large parts into rubber.

I have also made a 3rd version for those of you that like the obscure prop.

 
The Star Trek V Communicator has been one of my holy grail pieces for years. It seems every time someone says they are going to do them something comes up to mess it up, but it looks like this time it may really happen.

I will be in for 2 of the III's and 2 of the V's when this is a go.

Have you decided if you are going to be offering any buildups or will it just be the kits?

Awesome awesome awesome :) and can more than likely use a DS comm for electronics or maybe gmprops can get in on some electricals :)
 
When you come to make these I'd like to see how to properly bend the lids into shape as it isn't something I would be confident doing myself in-case I messed it up, which would be a costly mistake.

It is really going to happen. :) I have wanted to do these for quite awhile.

As for now these will just be kits. I find little time to do full builds.
 
Those look amazing! I wonder if DST will be making a version after the Search For Spock Phaser II's are released. These look like they'd be so​ much better than any toy.
 
Tracking shows my rubber should be here Tomorrow. I should be able to start molding this weekend after I get back from Fort Collins comic con.
