This thread is for anyone interested in putting together an Amazing Spider-man 2 suit or display. Feel free to use or alter any of my files for your own personal use. I would just appreciate it if you did not use them commercially.

I'm really liking the ASM2 suite, and since I have the basics already, well here we go.

Some things you can find here are links to:

--Sizable .psd file for Amazing Spider-man 2--
It will be available in layers, 3d webs, muscle shading, colors, bricks, etc, so you may edit it how you like and send it to print! (always splurge for that sample print first!)

--3D CAD or 3D Print files for all of the webbing/spiders--
The idea is to use this file to print and cast or Mill and cast. The web file is being sized to precisely fit the color pattern file, so what ever you do to one, just do it to the other! * It is up to you to re-size the spider files.

--3D Print files for face shell and snap in eyes--
Once again, you will be able to print and/or cast these.

Anyway, here's what I have so far...

Disclaimer: I have not printed this pattern for myself nor have I had a test swatch printed yet. When I do this, if the colors, sizing or web alignment need adjustment, I will upload a revised file. Until then, you are on your own.

**ALSO: DO NOT SEND full .psd files to places like "FABRIC ON DEMAND"!
The layered psd is for individuals to edit the work in any way they see fit. When submitting to "fabric on demand" please only send a flattened jpg version of the file in cmyk. The psd files are way too large for them and it might cost the customer more $$ because if this.

Regarding Sizing the Suit... check the link below... toward the end of the page.

Thank you.

HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE SIZE OF THE MODELS I HAVE HERE??

*NOTE:If you decide to take the pattern, call it your own, alter it to a newer outfit, post it on eBay, whatever, do as you please.
I just hope that it mainly gets into the hands of the folks on this board!

I was curious if you were going to make files for TASM 2 ;) You sneaky person you read my mind!!!. Now will the mechanics of the suit pattern be the same as the rami pattern or will it be specific for TASM 2?

I have been tinkering with the pattern for now...this is a VERY early WIP pic.

For now I'm gonna go with the same layout, just changing' the artwork...should work ok.

Looks great so far!!! I have to your work is top notch and the fact you just give them away is like getting your cake and eating it too!!! If you need help with how the webs are set up I cant send you a preview image of a pattern I created from tracing but heavily heavily modified of Orhadar's tasm 2 pattern.

At this rate pattern makers will be out of business XD
Pep and 3D printing haven't put people who sell castings out of business. Ken is just making patterning more accessible to a wider audience, including those who might want to experiment with pattern making without learning all the intricacies of the patterns. I honestly believe that this will actually be a boon to pattern makers, it's going to force those of us who sell our patterns to up our game to make sure we are putting out the best possible product. It will be a second renaissance in soft suits. (Remember you heard it here first)

Ken, if we ever cross paths, I'm buying you a drink. What's your poison?

I was joking but I didn't think of it that way, nice input!

You put that perfectly.

-Stoli martini-extra dirty :D

Oh god, judging by the previous work, this will be amazing, there is only one thing if I might add, make sure that the belt area is very close to the crotch, I saw that in other patterns that the belt area is way more up than it should be making the crotch stich very large.
3040799-5675755854-013.j.jpg
you can see how low dipped the belt part is, just my two cents :)

Good luck kenlandrum :thumbsup

Good call. I 'm reworking it now. To do it right I had to clip the top of the butt and extend the back piece longer to accommodate the lower belt... Worth the work though.
thanks again

could you also make your pattern where it can get crotch zippers like the real suit???i think you would have to separate the legs or add material i dunno i am a novice anyway just an idea....
