R2 tank tracks

Working on my 1:1 R2 and can't find any good attempts online with someone who used tank tracks on place of wheels under foot shells...any ideas?

Who is John Galt...

It would probably work, but the biggest problem with tracks is friction. The rubber tracks on my Treadwell droid burn up the amps. You end up with a lot of surface area on the floor and that creates a lot more resistance than with wheels. I have heard the Wall-E guys have similar problems with high current draw. The only way properly combat it would be to gear the motors down until the current draw was manageable. The problem would then getting the right gear ratio in the small space of the foot shell.

^^ This is accurate info, tried to do track vehicule and didn't believe the amount of power to move the damn thing but also the gear system was really taking a lot of room:(
