Doctor Who: Day of the Doctor Zygon Scanner Build

Wonderful looking piece of work.
Makes me want to download comics and eat popcorn.

Thanks, It's appreciated :)
After a bit of a tidying up, this is where I'm at.

Cutting, grinding and finally polishing that crystal to the right size and shape was one of the most boring jobs I've ever encountered !

The one piece I was dreading making the most is now finished :)

The final leg of this build is the floppy drive spinner. I can't see me being able to locate the actual piece used on the original prop, so it's a case of replicating it. How hard can it be ?? I've made everything else from scratch, so armed with my highly detailed design sketch :D Off I go ...

While the spinner was 'cooking' I added all the final wiring, copper piping, electrical contacts and bolts :) It's now fully complete except for the 'spinner' which hopefully I'll have finished today YIPPEE :D
