$10 Paper R2D2 kit with sound/light - done

I think I spent $150 on my hyperdyne kit for my pulserifle.
I found a stack of r2d2 paper models on clearance at Barns and Noble for $10
It is a foot tall model but comes with a simple electronic kit. All the sounds and a couple of blinky's.
It will work fine in my trash can R2.
I know what people spend on R2 builds. This is not for them.

Not an easy kit by the way. No wonder it was in the clearance bin.

I am going to rename this thread to reflect the whole kit. I actually like the way it turned out despite my poor glue and scissor skills.

There are almost 50 little pieces that I just did not have the patience or tiny fingers to assemble.
It isn't hard at all, it is just time consuming waiting for glue to dry.

Sounds perfect I need something to consume my free time as I mostly just sit watching tv and running around like a nutcase in one GTA game or another relieving my weeks stress on some poor digitized citizen.(should add here I work nightshift 11pm-7am so weekends are 11pm-7am.... a quick search shows this available online for roughly 16 usd and seeing as I have some fat b-day cash heading my way I may just give this a go.

After all who didn`t grow up loving this little guy and his nervous counter part. these two were everywhere growing up. they visited Seasme Street made appearances on other tv shows. Luke Leia Han all were great but it was usually these two that were seen more often in publc from 1977 -1990.

Maybe I`ll pick one up give it a go make a thread for it to get my feet wet doing a build thread. then move on to more challenging builds as I get to them and more space.

Thanks for putting up this thread id have never even known this exsisted.
