Noob cosplayer needs help getting started

Hi guys

i recently attended my first comic con and was blown away by the experience. I want to build a 2012 Dredd costume for next year but have absolutely no idea where to start. I want it as movie accurate as possible. Ive seen some of the great pics here regarding clay mock ups of the helmet, are there step by step guides for this and other aspects of the costume? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Anthony. Using search and perusing the various forum threads will glean lots of info.
