Another easy and cheap way of creating Judge Dredd belt accessory which is the zip cuffs as per picture below...
The build will be fully functional and reusable and Costs around $1.30 for all the parts which includes the pencil sharpener, cable tie, and rivets.

After days of searching I found a pencil sharpener from a bookstore which has the nearest shape to the zip cuffs.

Next step is to drill 3 slots on top of the sharpener and 1 slot at the bottom were the cable tie will be passed through using a drimel tool..

Slip the cable tie into each slots as per details below to confirm functionality and alignments.

Cut a piece of GI (Galvanized Iron) sheet which will be used as back support and holder for the end of the zip cuff.

Install rivets to join the sharpener and back support for the cable tie.

Nice budget build tutorial. I just finished mine and, although I scratch built four cuff sets, I used the only zip ties I could find that looked large enough, which are about 3/8" wide. Mine look like the actual prop pieces until I compare it next to my flash balls. When I scaled the cinch mechanism I think mine are maybe as much as 20% too big. I can only judge that by comparing the flash ball size with the size of my cinch blocks. (I used your Lowell pics you were so helpful to provide in another thread link; Thanks again for those.) Does anyone have actual measurements for the cinch blocks and width of the zip ties? I might remake them but having built them all individually with strip ABS, I hate to waste another 3 days(or was it four) rebuilding them.:facepalm

Thanks.. I used only estimates and appearance nearest to the actual thing.

Here's the final look after painting...
