    Hey, all!

I just finished my newest piece, "Broken Eggs", today and took some comparison photos. I don't know why, but I have always loved this mask and just *had* to make one. In case you don't already know, it's the mask worn by Alicia Hunt, Joker's/Jack's girlfriend in Batman (1989) played by Jerry Hall. She unfortunately gets her stuff ruined when Joker scars her face with acid to turn her into one his first grotesque "art pieces." He later suggests that she "threw herself out the window" and smashes her mask over Vicki Vale's fireplace while uttering the line, "Well...You can't make an omelet without breaking some eggs."

I tried to sculpt every little divot and sculptural oddity that I saw on the screen-used prop from Propstore's photos, down to the weird surface texture of the original movie buck itself, which you can slightly see through the surface of the clear screen-used mask in my comparisons. I think I've gotten most of them, though there just aren't enough good photos to be sure. I plan to have a few of these cast in clear plastic, painted up, and sold on the Junkyard within the next couple of weeks if there is enough interest. Until then, I'd love to hear what you think!

    Thanks for looking and cheers,

    Ryan

I finally took everyone's advice who had been offering critique and did an overhaul on the nose bridge, lips, and nostrils. I've attached some new photos below, as I had to wait until daylight today to get the best lighting situation. (It is INSANELY hard to photograph this face indoors.)

Honestly, I think part of the reason my sculpture looks a bit more "manly" is because Jerry Hall has a boxy jaw line with large cheek bones...When you take away all the gorgeous hair and alluring makeup, then mold her face and cast a blank, you'll probably see a product similar to this. In fact, if you look at the film mask and try to imagine it without the lipstick, you can see just how weird and androgynous it is. Anyway, let me know what you think of these updates...if anyone actually cares.

    Thanks again and cheers,

    Ryan

I could be waaay off, but from the Propstore pictures it looks like the outer texture is smooth and the "stipled" texture is goldleaf or something on the inside.
