Thanks to Stealth! Getting me started thus leading me to the awesome rpf site. Well first I started to do the mark 6 helmet/back, mark 4 chest and hands. With one roll of foam that Stealth suggests on buying when starting out and at the end I still had plenty of foam left.

Now I started those, but now put them on hold and wanted to build the mark 42. Thanks to jackieisrockin I’ll be able to do that which some of the parts that are ready to be built can be found here http://www.therpf.com/f24/jackieisrockins-iron-man-mk-42-pepakura-files-abs-added-176839/

For the mark 42 I am going to use aluminum for all silver parts

Man I wish I had more free time! I am having lots of fun doing this project for myself, but dang lol I want to finish a lot faster and just be ready to work on the chest/back from Jackie's files once he is done. Still working on the thighs and forgot to take a quick snap shot of the progress before going to work.

Here is a little something though...I tried my best to free hand the hip part that is missing from Jackie's MK 42 thigh file. I finish the waist, but didn't connect them until I do the abs. :D also did the MK 4 brace.

Looking great!
How easy/hard is it to work with aluminum combined with foam? Are you using hot glue or epoxy glue to connect the two?

Really great work man! Where and how are you cutting the aluminum?

thanks Salamander77! I use a 18GA wiss cutting tool from homedepot. (post #7) see the tool with yellow hand grip. also got aluminum roll from same place and it's thin easy to cut. I got the cutting tool because it's easy to cut curves with it and scissors good only when cutting straight lines.
